Meet Dr. Owens! He was born and raised in Baltimore, MD, and received his BS degree from the University of Maryland at College Park and his dental degree from the University of Maryland at Baltimore. While in dental school, he was elected as a chapter president of the Student National Dental Association.

Dr. Owens received his post-graduate training at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center, in Winston-Salem, NC, where he completed a two-year general practice residency program. He is a past-president of the Forsyth County Dental Society. During his tenure, he had the opportunity to learn more about the North Carolina dental licensure process as a deputy examiner for the dental board exam. It was during this time that Dr. Owens decided to serve the dentists and citizens of North Carolina on a higher level by holding the position on the Dental Board from 2005 until 2011.

When he is out of the office, Dr. Owens enjoys taking his dog Phoebe for walks, skiing in the Rockies, and is a second-degree black belt in Taekwondo.
